At IREP, we believe facility management is at the heart of building a sustainable future. By aligning our operations with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we’re not only improving the way buildings are managed but also making a real difference for communities and the planet. Here’s how we’re turning global goals into everyday action-with real-world examples from our projects.

Our SDG Goals:

SDG 7: Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all.

We’re dedicated to advancing SDG 7 by transforming facilities into models of clean, affordable energy. For example, at one of our flag ship office complexes, we installed IoT sensors and an AI-driven energy management system that reduced HVAC and lighting energy consumption by 30% within the first year. We also offer regular staff training on energy conservation and have helped several clients achieve LEED and BREEAM certifications, demonstrating our commitment to green building standards.





SDG 8: Promoting Sustained, Inclusive and Sustainable Economic Growth and Decent Work for All.

We are committed to SDG 8 by fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment. For example, we launched a training and certification program for our maintenance staff, enabling them to upskill in green building technologies. This not only improves job satisfaction but also opens new career opportunities. Our strict adherence to health and safety protocols has resulted in an exemplary safety record, ensuring every team member returns home safely.





SDG 11: Make cities inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable. Our approach to SDG 11 focuses on creating healthier, more sustainable spaces. For instance, we recently managed the renovation of a client site using eco-friendly materials and low-VOC paints, improving indoor air quality for visitors and staff. Our recycling and composting programs in commercial buildings have diverted tons of waste from landfills.





SDG 12: Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns. We are committed to advancing SDG 12 by promoting responsible consumption and production across all our facility management operations. Our approach starts with sustainable procurement-prioritizing eco-friendly, locally sourced, and recyclable materials for building maintenance and renovations. For example, we have switched to using green-certified cleaning products and biodegradable supplies in several client facilities, reducing harmful chemical use and environmental impact.





SDG 13: Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts.

Climate action is woven into everything we do. We helped a major client transition to a hybrid work model, redesigning their office layout to support flexible schedules and reduce daily commutes-cutting transportation-related emissions by an estimated 20%. Our deployment of IoT sensors and AI analytics in multiple facilities has optimized HVAC, lighting, and equipment usage, collectively reducing greenhouse gas emissions by hundreds of tons annually. These efforts not only benefit the environment but also create more comfortable and productive workspaces.
