IREP’s aim is to be a world-leading facilities & asset management company, enabling the creation of spaces that benefit the portfolio, user, and environment alike. To realise this, it is fundamental that we promote a culture that advances the health and safety of all involved, as well as the protection of the environments in which we operate.
We are deeply committed to this policy as it is both our statutory and moral duty. To this end, a total of 2830 online health & safety, environment, HR & Security training courses were completed in 2022, alone. These courses include both technical skills (energy efficiency, sustainability, and work at height) and soft skills (team management, anti-harassment, team building, and COVID awareness).
To make taking these courses even more accessible for our diverse staff, we have introduced a new online training platform. Now we have the option to have courses in several languages. As well, for those who do not have access to laptops, we can still have the training through a classroom setup so the tool is a very versatile approach to training.
Our HSE team is an exceptional one. With over 80 years’ experience in the field combined, they blend understanding with cultural diversity & dynamism.
IREP monitors any accidents or near misses involving their employees & sub-contractors through our online incident management tool, ‘Safety Media’. All our HSE work is proving successful as, for 2021, we reported zero lost time for injury, and no fatal or major accidents involving any IREP employees.
Furthermore, IREP has successfully completed six ISO 45k & 14k audits in India, Taiwan, Canada and Chile in 2022. These successful ISO audits demonstrate our pursuit of international best-practice
An example of our work is the ‘IREP HSE Innovations & Improvements Forum’. This is a space that is dedicated toward the invention & refining of HSE ideas. Introduced as a pilot in India in 2021 — despite the challenging context of the COVID pandemic — it was highly successful, generating many cutting-edge ideas. For 2023, IREP HSE aims to expand the event involving all markets globally, further maximising our opportunity for optimisation.
In addition, our technical team has built our own Accident & Incident reporting tool that launched in January 2023, which will give more details & will record actions raised from the investigations.
